After working in leadership positions in the Public and Private Sectors for the past 30 years and achieving accomplishments that have impacted the lives of tens of thousands of families annually in the St. Louis region as well as nationally, we are confident in our ability to deliver quality programming that is performance based to the funders and community for those who are seeking employment opportunities and programs that assist in stabilizing employer workforces and the lives of their children and families.

As the Founder of Family and Workforce Centers of America, my mission is to continue my life's work in St. Louis and communities around the nation. We have implemented numerous workforce programs (Adult and Youth WIA, Dislocated Workers, TANF),  attended and presented at numerous technical national conferences for DOL and HHS, including: Pathways out of Poverty – Renewable Energy/Green Jobs, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, and Healthy Relationships and Responsible Fatherhood.  We have participated in several national studies and we were held to the same rigorous standards externally by our local and national funders.  As a result, we are humble and grateful for the opportunity to represent our organization and this great community, while learning about cutting-edge industry trends and global developments.

While serving as COO of Better Family Life Inc., over 25,000 youth and adults in Missouri and Illinois were served through the Workforce, Asset Development, Youth, Family & Clinical Services, and Community Outreach Departments.  These programs were delivered by 180 employees. Annually, over 1,800 people were placed in employment with a $34 million dollar economic impact to the region.

The success of FWCA, our staff and customers are the direct results of deliberate planning, hard work, community investment, integrity, and community empowerment. I thank you for taking a moment to tour our website and on behalf of FWCA; we look forward to being of service to your organization!

Lastly, I would like to leave you with a quote by an unknown author. The quote states: “Many of us look at life as work.  We approach it and try to handle it like a job.  We complain about it.  We blame others when it is not working.  We hold someone else responsible when it does not give us what we want.  Some of us give up on life.  We move from day to day, with no plan, no goals and ultimately no rewards.  We fail to understand that if life is work, the better we do it, the better it will pay us. When we perform our tasks to the very best of our ability we receive just rewards for what we do.  When we are thorough in our work and put our best into it, we become better at it.  When we become too good for where we are, we will be advanced to our rightful place.  The thing we must realize about life is it cannot be better until we are better.  We cannot get more until we are more.  The only thing that can stop our advancement in life is our not being ready to move.  If life is work, run it like a multi-million dollar corporation and elect yourself chief executive officer!”

Sincerely,
